Photo challenge

Happy Summer everybody! I'm sharing a totally fun, make you smile page today.

The challenge from GCD Studios this time, was to create a page inspired by this photo.

I knew I was totally up for this challenge because I had a silly photo of my daughter and her friends looking very much like super heroes.

I interpreted the image pretty literally. I just changed the wording to fit what they were doing.

While most of my scrapbook pages are usually pretty heartfelt or documentary, I love throwing a little humor into the mix.  I knew I was on track when my son looked at the completed page, cracked a huge smile and let out a little chuckle.

Here are a few close ups.

Here's a good tip I can share.  The stickers for the "ready, aim" above are actually the same as the "it's the" below.  I tried the light teal stickers on the yellow and it just didn't have the pop I was looking for.  So I placed them on my non-stick matte and inked them with black ink.  Super easy solution!

I hope this inspires you to scrapbook those "silly" photos you've got in your stash.  I know they are going to be cherished even more than the perfectly posed shots.  Everyone loves a page that makes them smile or even chuckle. :)

Supplies: Patterned Papers: GCD Studios Splendor Line, Letters: Basic Grey, American Crafts, Stamps: Arrow-Studio Calico, Date-Heidi Swapp, Die Cut Machine: Slice.
